Go to YouTube to find the video you would like to embed in your course.

Click on the word “Share” and then on “Embed”

You will get an icky looking piece of HTML code – this is what you need.

Copy that code.

In Blackboard, start a new Item (Build Content > Item)

Click the HTML Button

Paste the code into the window.

Click Update at the bottom.

Remember to give your Item a Name.

You can now add text to the Item if you want. The yellow box is OK. You will ALWAYS get the yellow box when editing an Item that has an embedded video.

When you Submit the Item, you will have a video embedded in your course.
